I've been quite off track with posting on my blog here lately for lots of reasons. Nevaeh had to have tubes put in her ears in June and has had pneumonia twice. We've also been quite busy with homeschooling. This week our theme is airplanes/anything that flies. The shape of the week is triangle, letter of the week is A, color of the week is white, and the number of the week is 1. Yesterday we made a helicopter out of pieces of construction paper cut into triangles. We also did painting and played on the new swingset we just recently got. Just recently we started using the workbox system and that's going great! I love the new system.

This week we've been gathering the pictures and minibook ideas, along with other information that will be going into our train lapbook. We're starting lapbooks this month and will be learning so much! We're all really excited about this!

Today we watched shows all about trains and started on our train lapbook. So far, we've put a minibook about the different colors that trains come in and put lots of train pictures in it. We also listened to a tape of a story all about a train trip. We had lots of free play time and watched "Signing Time" to help us with our sign language.

Today we went to the library and had so much fun! Mommy and Josh read books while Chip and Christina played on the computer. After we got home, Chip played games on the Disney website. We made birdfeeders by putting peanut butter on pinecones and rolling them in birdseed.
