This week we've been gathering the pictures and minibook ideas, along with other information that will be going into our train lapbook. We're starting lapbooks this month and will be learning so much! We're all really excited about this!

Today we watched shows all about trains and started on our train lapbook. So far, we've put a minibook about the different colors that trains come in and put lots of train pictures in it. We also listened to a tape of a story all about a train trip. We had lots of free play time and watched "Signing Time" to help us with our sign language.

September 28 - October 10, 2008

We've been working on lapbooks for the alphabet. We started one for the letter A. We put in minibooks and pictures of stuff that starts with "a". We'll be working on these til the week of Halloween. We can't wait to start on Halloween stuff!!

Today we went to the library and had so much fun! Mommy and Josh read books while Chip and Christina played on the computer. After we got home, Chip played games on the Disney website. We made birdfeeders by putting peanut butter on pinecones and rolling them in birdseed.

We had lots of fun today through free play. We worked on sign language by watching Signing Time. We're working on learning our alphabet in ASL. Josh colored also.

Today Josh worked on recognizing the letters of the alphabet, making shapes and knowing the names of shapes. He also colored and learned the names for different colors. He worked on his manners and helped with chores and feeding the animals. Chip worked on number recognition by playing solitare. He also played games on the Disney website. He is also working on his speech.

Today Josh played matching games with Mommy and learned the names of animals. He also worked on his speech and manners. Chip played learning games on the computer. He's working on learning the letters of the alphabet and how to read and learning his numbers and how to count. He also sang learning songs and is learning the ABC song.

Today was very hectic. Josh had his developmental evaluation and we played outside. Chip spent time with Daddy while Josh worked on the evaluation and Nevaeh enjoyed the time on Mommy's lap. We also played outside and read from the children's Bible.

Today we did something very different. We started on making pockets to hold our chore cards. We're going to finish making them tomorrow cause we have to let the glue dry. Josh also finished up with his speech testing and we'll be finding out about that soon. He'll probably require some speech therapy. Mommy also read from the children's Bible for us and we played outside.

We had a blast today!! It was officially our first day of school for the year. We put puzzles together, colored, played educational computer games, played with play dough, played outside, and watched Barney. We had so much fun today!!

Mommy, Josh and Nevaeh went to the library and watched a program on bugs!! We had a blast! They talked about the different kinds of bugs and even showed some extreme bugs! We watched a magic show! Chip and Christina went to the children's library and colored and played games on the computer. We all then got to see a real live bunny! Then we went to the children's library and checked out some cd's and a dvd. We all had so much fun!

We learned all about worms today!! We dug for worms and talked about where worms live and what they eat. We even observed some squirming around. We just love worms!! They're our favorite animal to watch! We also played outside while it wasn't raining. While it rained, we sat in the house and watched it rain. We also watched cars racing on tv and played with our toys.

Today we took this special day to celebrate with family and friends. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Beadenkopf's house for a cookout and just had fun. Afterwards we went with Grandma, Uncle Phil, Mommy and Daddy to go watch fireworks in Wilkesboro. We had a blast!!

Today we took the day and learned through free play. We played outside and inside. We rode our bikes, played with cars and trucks and watched some educational TV. We just had fun learning through our own exploring.

We had fun learning how to help clean the house and pick up after ourselves. We worked on our speech and vocabulary skills and learning American Sign Language. We had character education and had free play time inside and outside.

Today was awesome!! We played outside, helped mommy with laundry and cleaning house, watched "Handy Manny", worked on Spanish, and sign language using Signing Time. We also worked on manners and character education. We worked on colors in nature using the sky and trees and other things in nature. We even worked on naming body parts and learning about a baby. We had so much fun!!

Today was a fun day. We played with play-dough and helped mommy with housework (or tried). We had lots of fun watching some educational tv too. We watched Signing Time and worked on sign language. For our recess time, we played outside doing lots of running, swinging and riding our bikes. We also helped mommy to plan supper and fix it.
